This course is presented only to those departments and their governing bodies who realize that they do, in fact, have a wildland/urban interface problem within their jurisdiction. The program is for orientation, planning, preparation, and training of all personnel. This is a full day course which prepares the fire department for dealing with this situation.
Course will not deal with the pre-treatment of structures or the establishment of grounds/structure maintenance

Course will not cover any material dealing with the attack of the wildfire.
2) Much of the information and data presented in this course will oriented to the terrain and physical infrastructure of the area of operations as well as the agencies that will be involved in incident operations, both on- and off-site.
There will be material that will be available for reference and planning. Actual incidents and events of the fires in SE Georgia in 2007 will be used to illustrate the importance of the information covered. Applicable NIMS course information will be noted as it applies as well as the new Skills Crosswalk courses.
